Standard Operating Procedure for Photocatalytic Coating Application

 

Step 1: Site Inspection and Formaldehyde Testing

Before commencing work, our technicians will conduct a thorough inspection of your premises. During this inspection, they will:

  • Assess the work area: Evaluate the specific conditions of the space, including size, layout, and existing materials.
  • Develop a customized plan: Create a detailed plan for the application of the photocatalytic coating, taking into account factors such as the level of contamination and the specific needs of the space.
  • Conduct formaldehyde testing: Measure the initial level of formaldehyde in the environment. Two test points will be selected, and measurements will be taken both before and after treatment to provide a clear comparison.

Step 2: Consultation and Explanation

Our technicians will provide a comprehensive explanation of the entire process, including:

  • Treatment method: A detailed explanation of how the photocatalytic coating will be applied.
  • Precautions: Information on any necessary precautions during and after the treatment process.
  • Estimated completion time: A projection of how long the project will take.
  • Maximizing effectiveness: Tips on how to maximize the benefits of the photocatalytic coating.

Step 3: Material Compatibility Testing

Before applying the coating to any surface, our technicians will conduct compatibility tests on a small, inconspicuous area. This ensures that:

Note: Certain materials, such as clear glass, mirrors, high-gloss finishes, and electronic devices, are not suitable for coating. However, if the client insists on treating these surfaces, we will accommodate their request.

Step 4: Protective Measures

To protect your belongings and furnishings during the treatment process, we will take the following precautions:

  • Surface protection: We will cover surfaces with protective materials, such as masking tape and drop cloths.
  • Floor protection: For floors such as polished quartz, tiles, and wooden floors, we will use specialized protective coverings to prevent damage.

Step 5: Application

The photocatalytic coating will be applied to the following areas:

  • Ceilings
  • Walls
  • Cabinets (including interior drawers)
  • Carpets
  • Curtains

Step 6: Final Inspection and Cleanup

Upon completion of the treatment, we will:

  • Restore the area: Remove all protective coverings and debris.
  • Conduct a final inspection: Ensure that the work has been completed to a high standard.
  • Re-measure formaldehyde levels: Conduct a post-treatment formaldehyde test to verify the effectiveness of the treatment.

Additional Notes:

  • All waste generated during the process will be disposed of responsibly.
  • Clients will be provided with a warranty and a detailed report of the work performed.

Important notes:

  • Avoid excessive cleaning: Over-cleaning may damage the coating.
  • Use appropriate cleaning agents: Use mild, neutral cleaning agents. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Regular inspection: Regularly inspect the coating for any signs of damage and contact a professional for repair if necessary.
